Our Recruitment Process
Going through a hiring process can feel opaque from the outside. Here's a transparent look at how it usually works at Ofelia, so you know what to expect at each step.
Four steps, each with a purpose
Each step in our process serves a specific purpose. Throughout the process, you'll meet the people you'll actually be working with on a daily basis. We want every interview to give you a better understanding of who we are and how we work, with the hope that it aligns with who you are and your own way of working.
1. Let's get to know each other
In your first conversation with our Talent team, we'll introduce you to Ofelia, our values, and our mission. We'll also take the time to learn about your background, motivations, and aspirations.
2. Meet your future manager
Next, you'll have a discussion with your potential future manager. This is an opportunity to talk about the challenges and opportunities related to the role, as well as to better understand the team dynamics and ongoing projects.
3. Put your skills into action
Now for something concrete. During a practical exercise, you'll have the chance to showcase your expertise by presenting a technical or a business case. It's an opportunity to demonstrate how you approach challenges and to offer insight into your problem-solving style.
4. Wrapping up
Finally, you'll meet with our CHRO to review the process and address any remaining questions. This final conversation is meant to ensure you can fully envision yourself at Ofelia, and that you share our ambitions.
What we're really looking at
Throughout these four steps, we're evaluating two things in parallel: whether your skills match what the role requires, and whether there's a genuine fit with how we work and what we value. Neither matters more than the other. A great skill match without cultural alignment, or the reverse, rarely leads to a good outcome for anyone.
Timelines can vary
We try to move at a reasonable pace and to keep you informed at each step, but timelines can vary depending on the role, the number of candidates, and internal scheduling. We will always give you an update, no matter the outcome. If you haven't heard from us, feel free to reach out.
A two-way process
It's worth remembering that a recruitment process isn't just us evaluating you. It's also your opportunity to evaluate us: the way we communicate, the questions we ask, how prepared our interviewers are. All of this tells you something about what it's actually like to work at Ofelia.
